In Italia c’è il Festival di Sanremo. Negli Usa è stato il giorno dei Grammy 2019. La manifestazione che raccoglie il meglio della musica mondiale e che attribuisce riconoscimenti in ogni settore del panorama musicale, a 360 gradi. Non solo canzonette, insomma.
Il 2019 è stato l’anno di This Is America di Childish Gambino, ma anche di Lady Gaga e delle sue performance come attrice candidata all’Oscar per il film A Star is Born. Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande e Chris Cornell hanno fatto il resto.
Tuttavia, il 2019 sarà ricordato soprattutto per la performance di Cardi B, che è diventata la prima donna – nella storia della manifestazione organizzata dalla National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences – a conquistare il premio per il miglior album rap. Un genere tradizionalmente considerato ‘al maschile’ che, tuttavia, quest’anno ha fatto registrare la smentita di questo fastidioso pregiudizio.
